You're my valentine, you're my love
You're my hope, & my treasure-trove
You have'en a solace for my aching soul
And the vernal breeze by your whole
An oasis you have'en in my hour of thirst
And a lush vegetation in my best & worst
Your beauty's a flower that sways in worth
To enrich my birth with much joyous mirth
Your words ever echo like a nursery rhyme
Which I often hum to forget my woeful time.
